What’s The One Question Every Business Strategist Should Ask

I was driving to a client today and something caught my eye, I thought I’ll make this recording for you.

There are a number of questions that every business strategist and business consultant should ask you before they start working with you. But the number one question is:

What is your goal? What are you trying to achieve and what is the destination you’re trying to reach?

These questions are important for couple of reasons. The first one is similar to opening a GPS and not telling it what is the destination address you trying to reach. The GPS won’t be able to take you there. Similarly, the business strategies won’t know what you’re trying to achieve and therefore they will know how to get you there. The second reason is, once we know our goal and our destination, we’re able to create milestones that will indicate whether or not we’re on the right track and in the right direction. If we’re not hitting those milestones will need to sit down and reevaluate to try and understand what are we missing?

Why are we not hearing? And what other adjustments we need to do to the business in order to get us back on track?
